Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled orthopedic trauma surgeon to join our well-established and respected practice at the Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute in Hartford, Connecticut.

Job Description:
The surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with traumatic orthopedic issues with well-rounded experience, including general orthopedics, arthritis and sports injuries. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including residents (UConn), physical therapists, physician assistants (robust team of >10 PAs) and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize the latest surgical techniques and technologies for minimally invasive treatments, including navigation, arthroscopy and robotic-assisted surgery, to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research as desired.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, recovery expectations and rehabilitation plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with practice standards and regulations.
- Take general orthopedic trauma call at our Level 1 facility (roughly 4 weekdays per month on average and roughly 1 weekend on average). No primary call (always a PA/resident in-house). Two other employed traumatologists are available to manage complex cases in handoff.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in orthopedic surgery.
- Fellowship-trained in orthopedic traumatology or with a strong interest in career-long trauma care.
- Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in Connecticut.
- Strong clinical and surgical skills with a commitment to excellence in patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
